King George Medical University, previously known as Chhatrapati Sahuji Maharaj Medical University, underwent a comprehensive transform
ation to enhance its infrastructure and meet the standards set by the Medical Council of India (MCI) for a 250-admission medical college. This ambitious intervention involved a major overhaul of the university's existing facilities, including urban redevelopment initiatives within its campus.

The project encompassed a wide range of architectural and planning endeavors, aimed at modernizing and expanding the university's infrastructure to accommodate the increased capacity and upgraded facilities required for a medical college of such scale. One of the key aspects of this transformation was the complete architectural design and planning of several crucial buildings within the campus.

The Outpatient Department (OPD) Block was designed and constructed to provide state-of-the-art healthcare services to patients visiting the medical university. This block is essential for the efficient functioning of the medical college, as it serves as the primary point of contact for outpatient consultations and treatments.

Additionally, the Centenary Hospital, a pivotal component of the project, was meticulously planned and built to cater to the medical needs of students, faculty, and the community. This hospital is equipped with modern medical facilities, ensuring that high-quality healthcare services are accessible to all.

Another significant structure included in the revamp was the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery (CVTS) Building. This specialized facility was designed to support advanced procedures and treatments in the field of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, showcasing the university's commitment to cutting-edge medical education and practice.

Following diligent planning, execution, and completion of the construction works, the revamped infrastructure has been successfully put into use. The upgraded facilities not only meet the stringent standards mandated by the MCI but also contribute significantly to providing top-tier medical education and healthcare services within the university and the surrounding community.
