The Apollo Ispat Post Graduate Institute and Super Speciality Hospital at Rourkela was initiated by the Ministry of Steel for the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL). It is built within the existing Ispat General Hospital Campus, adding specialised and advanced treatment to an established Hospital.

Alongside the clinical departments are diagnostic facilities, endoscopy, administrative spaces and a centralised sterile services department.
