Noor Manzil Psychiatric Centre, at Lalbagh in the old city of Lucknow, is a 200-bed hospital for mental health and rehabilitation, designed by ARCH-EN DESIGN.
Calm on a busy street
The centre stands on a tight urban plot. Its white front is layered and symmetrical, with a curved central bay over the entrance and tall vertical windows, giving a quiet, ordered face to a crowded street. Behind it the wards are arranged around light wells, so that patients have daylight and air.
