A Master Plan for a 1,000-acre new town at Moradabad, won through an international competition, in which 60-metre and 30-metre roads divide the land into sectors of mixed uses with a 35-acre eco park.
About the project
ARCH-EN DESIGN won the commission to Master Plan New Moradabad Township through an international competition organised by the Moradabad Development Authority, and served as its Planning consultant. The Township covers 1,000 acres.
Roads that define sectors
Roads 60 metres and 30 metres wide divide the town into sectors. Within this frame, the plan allocates land for Housing, institutions, commerce, bulk-sale trade and recreation, and sets aside 35 acres for an eco park.
The plan also covered the town's infrastructure, from highways to water, sewerage, drainage, power and solid waste, together with a financial plan for its development. We were appointed in 2002, and the work was completed in the six months set aside for it.
