About the project
This housing at Mandola Vihar Yojana, Ghaziabad, provides 1,856 homes for UP Awas Vikas Parishad on a site of about 20 acres. The homes are stacked in towers of G+14 and G+16.
The towers are built in monolithic reinforced concrete, using shear walls cast in aluminium formwork. In this system the walls themselves carry the structure, and the same formwork is used again floor after floor, which suits the repetition of a large housing scheme.
