About the project
Affordable Housing at Mandola Vihar, Ghaziabad, is a public housing scheme of about 1,80,000 m² on a 40-acre site. At this scale the project is a piece of neighbourhood rather than a single building.
Unlike the high-rise towers of the Mandola Vihar Yojana Housing, the homes here are in low-rise walk-up blocks. The blocks are set in rows and clusters around shared green courts, so that every group of homes looks onto a common open space close to its front doors.
