About the project
The Recruit Training Centre and Disaster Management Training Institute was set up by the Ministry of Home Affairs, through the CRPF, to train personnel to respond to disasters and similar emergencies. It brings multi-disciplinary training together with places to live: accommodation for officers, trainees and recruits, and family Housing of all types.
About 25 building types are spread over 200 acres of undulating terrain, from administration, barracks and messes to a parade ground and a swimming pool. The Campus layout gives this spread its order through a geometric pattern of roads and activity zones. The centre was completed in 2011.
