A 48-acre Campus at Badaun for a women's battalion of the UP Police, planned as a small town around a parade ground, with working buildings, a Hospital, a market and nearly 800 family homes in tall blocks.

About the project

The Veerangana Avantibai Mahila PAC Battalion is a women's force of the Uttar Pradesh Police. Its Campus at Badaun, on 48.48 acres, brings work, training, health care, shopping and homes together, so that the battalion and its families can live where they serve. Nearly thirty building components add up to about 1,44,500 square metres. The foundation stone was laid in 2021.

A parade ground at the centre

The Campus is organised around its open ground. The parade ground doubles as a Stadium, with a training shed beside it. Around it stand the working buildings: administration, stores and a Library in one four-storey block, the transport complex, the police Hospital, a convention centre with a gymnasium, a multipurpose hall and the messes.

Homes in tall blocks

Most of the built area is Housing. Eighteen residential blocks of up to stilt plus 12 floors hold 796 family homes, and a ten-storey barrack with a dining hall houses the women personnel. Stacking the homes in tall blocks leaves the rest of the Campus open for the parade ground, playing fields and gardens.

Everyday needs are met on the Campus itself: a small supermarket, a bank with an ATM, a gas agency and the Hospital.
