About the project
The Police Lines at Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh, is planned as a complete campus for the district police, with about 78,000 m² of buildings on a 40-acre site. The site was chosen for its position near major transport routes, its proximity to residential areas and its room for future expansion.
What the campus holds
- An administration building, the campus's central hub, with senior officers' offices and conference rooms
- Training classrooms, simulation rooms and fitness facilities
- Quarters for trainees and visiting officers
- A forensic laboratory
- A community engagement centre for outreach, seminars, workshops and exhibits on the region's policing history
- Sports grounds
The Architecture is meant to combine function with a measured public presence, drawing on local Architectural elements. Rainwater harvesting and solar energy are part of the campus.
