A thirteen-storey Headquarters for the Finance Department in Lucknow that gathers the department under one roof, behind a clean-lined facade of energy-efficient glass and green spaces, rated GRIHA 5-star.
About the project
Vitta Bhawan is the new Headquarters of the Finance Department in Lucknow. A building of ground and twelve floors, it gathers the department's work into one place, and it is rated GRIHA 5-star.
Floors for a working department
The office floors are planned for the way a modern department works. Workstations sit beside collaborative areas where teams can meet and think together, while conference rooms and Auditoriums take the formal side of the department's business. Beyond the desks, a cafeteria and recreational areas give staff somewhere to step away during the day, which matters to a workplace as much as the offices do.
A facade that works
The Architecture is contemporary and clean-lined. The facade does more than give the building its appearance: energy-efficient glass panels and green spaces are built into it, cutting energy use and making a healthier place to work.
Close to the city
The building stands in a busy part of Lucknow, close to transport and everyday amenities, so it is easy for staff and visitors to reach. ARCH-EN DESIGN managed the project for UP PWD.
