The expansion of the Government Medical College and its teaching hospital at Dungarpur, Rajasthan, adding new buildings to two existing campuses so that the college can admit 150 MBBS students a year.
About the project
At Dungarpur, the Government Medical College works with the district hospital as its teaching hospital. The project upgrades both existing campuses, the district hospital and the medical college, so that annual MBBS admissions can rise from 100 to 150.
New buildings are added within the existing campuses rather than on a fresh site, so the work is as much about fitting them into a working hospital and college as about the buildings themselves. The project covers about 25 acres, with a built-up area of around 30,000 square metres.
